Clients in the Mother Lode
Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital - Marketing, Award-Winning Video, Website
I am currently in charge of producing all media for the hospital
including print, radio, and television using a marketing campaign I themed "It's
A Good Life," that represents the hospital's ideas to reach the community in a
different manner than just showing buildings and draped docs. All media vehicles
are produced locally and link the quality of life and health with the resources
of the hospital, using real people and real places in Calaveras County.
In 1994, I developed the visual identity for a community fund raising effort including logo artwork, signage, brochure, stationery, business cards, and other materials -- all to help build our new hospital which opened in September, 1997. Working from my home studio, I serve as producer/director/editor for House Calls, a continuing series of over 40 interviews with health care professionals that is broadcast on Calaveras Community Television, and shown at the hospital. House Calls received the "Best Series" award for 1999 for shows produced through Calaveras Community Television. I have completed 31 brochures on hospital services, and the four Family Medical Centers in the county. I've also designed delivery vehicle signage using the hospital's logo and a rendering of the new building. I'm also collaborating with hospital staff to update their website.
Pneucon, a Division of Low Tech Automation - A
$10,000,000 Response
Pneucon's website, www.pneucon.com,
attracted the attention of a potential new customer dissatisfied with their current
vendor. The new customer based their decision to contact Pneucon on the personal attention
and quality products conveyed on the website. The relationship blossomed into a five year
agreement worth approximately $2,000,000 per year in new business for Pneucon. The
excellent people
at Pneucon closed the deal, but the website prompted the first contact. I've
updated the website since that contact.
Calaveras County Office of Education - Education in Calaveras
County
The report reviews each school in Calaveras County, and is developed in
close cooperation with CCOE staff. The publication has received a Second Place award from CalSPRA, the
California School Public Relations Association, in their annual statewide competition
among all urban and rural members throughout California.
California State Fair Exhibits - Gold Medal Winners
Conceptualized, designed and helped construct three Gold Medal winners for
Calaveras County.
Calaveras Visitors Bureau - ‘More to Discover’ Marketing Theme
Marketing theme and ads for Sunset Magazine and a four-color poster format
brochure for attracting visitors and businesses. Created a permanent display for the
County in the State Capitol, a full color presentation folder and insert pages. I've also
conducted visitor surveys, and produced their Visitor's Guide. The slogan was adopted by
the CVB and the County in 1988.
Mark Twain July 4th Celebration - Producer 89-91, Marketing 92-02
Producing the event as a volunteer included writing contracts, a program
and radio spots, developing activities and business sponsorships. The event attracts 4,000
people, and raises $10,000 yearly for participating service clubs, with over
$110,000 in
donations since 1989 to benefit the patients of Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital.
The event is on a one-year hiatus in 2003, to solidify some new elements and
sponsorships for the event.
