Nearly 80% of Americans have an Internet-linked computer at their work and/or home, which means two things.
First, the Internet is becoming deeply integrated into how we communicate and learn as a
nation. Does a computer for every student mean anything more than a
computer for every student? Doesn't education depend upon personal
interaction, not mousing around? And doesn't a reliance on high tech
make teachers into computer technicians and troubleshooters? With 300,000,000
websites now available, there is something for everyone, unfortunately.

In the aftermath of the Business Trial of the Century -- Microsoft vs Everybody, as Netscape, the DOJ,
and over 20 states slug it out, with E-mail the primary evidence. (Delete those messages
you don't want permanently!) Eventual results predictions? I can just imagine the Supreme Court weighing the merits
of the bundling a browser with an operating system. They haven't
checked in with technology since TVs got remote controls. This thing
just keeps continuing. Is there a betting pool somewhere on when it finally
be completed?
