Fishing season is nearly over this year . . .  a total of one fish.  Erg.

When I drive the eight miles to Jackson and cross the Mokelumne River, I try and note the water level and how many cars are parked at the access points to the trails along the river. My goal is to catch as many fish as the license costs, which this year would be 38 fish. In 2005, I was able to catch over 70 trout, and release about 55. I give the trout I keep to our neighbor Irene who used to be an avid fisherperson with her husband.

This year we took a Family ROAD TRIP to the Four Corners area, and stayed two days at Bryce Canyon and another two days at Canyon de Chelly. Amazing places and a trip full of good humor and hangin' out together. I intend to post an image gallery from the trip.

I've been moving forward behind the scenes with a redesign of this website, but some major items that I wanted to introduce have not been posted yet, including the short story I've been babbling about since August of 2001.  

On the business side, I'm lucky to work with some excellent people who are also clients.

My revised site will include good ideas and samples in a different visual approach. I'll include some thoughts about working with technology-dependent media and the ever-increasing load of digital information. And I'll be offering downloads of my images that can be used for your computer desktop background image.

Every website needs to have an entertainment aspect to it, with things that people enjoy aesthetically or procedurally or linguistically. Some folks who claim to do website design, graphics and marketing have no real website themselves, and thereby no samples of their work or of their approach to different media, or enough valid links to see their approach. Odd marketing, I'd say.
