Images & Information

I've photographed things for over 40 years, and have attempted to earn a living with photography since 1973, which I suppose means that I enjoyed taking pictures for five years, then thought I was commercial quality -- and therein lies the tale of the last 35 years of images.

This image is from the Mokelumne River Canyon, about five minutes from home and where I do most of my trout fishing. Depending on the amount and timing of rainfall, the Spring wildflowers can be extraordinary in our region. In 2007, the poppy display along Highway 49 as you climb out of the canyon toward Jackson was wonderful, but brief.

Over the last few months, I've scanned several thousand family images along with my commercial work. My Epson Photo 2450 (although a few years old) does a wonderful job on artwork, photos and text, but also does a great job scanning slides and negatives from 16mm to 4x5 inches.

Much more to come in 2008, including images you can use for your computer desktop background.
