I've photographed things for over 40 years,
and have attempted to earn a living with photography since 1973, which I suppose
means that I simply enjoyed taking pictures for a few, then thought I was commercial quality
-- and therein lies the tale of the last 35 years of images.
This image is from the Mokelumne River Canyon, about five minutes from home and where I do most of my
trout fishing.
Depending on the amount and timing of rainfall, the Spring wildflowers can be
extraordinary in our region. In 2010, the poppy display along Highway 49 as you
climb out of the canyon toward Jackson was less than normal because of the cooler weather and precipitation.
Over the last 16 months, I've scanned several thousand family images along with my commercial work.
I'll be posting images you can use for your computer desktop background.
